The French magazine Alternatives economic organized on 25th and 26th November in Dijon a symposium entitled “The Days of the Economy Otherwise”, in partnership with many SSE actors (see the list of partners here). About 2,000 people, coming from all over the country and even abroad, spent a total of two days in the various places where plenaries, roundtables and workshops were held.
During the inaugural roundtable, Marie-Guite Dufay, president of the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, notably emphasized the major role of the regions to support the development of SSE by listening to the actors of the territory and avoiding the pitfall of parachuted projects without real consultation of citizens.
The question of co-construction of public policy was widely evoked by Secretary of State Martine Pinville, in particular during a plenary ‘relocating the economy ‘ both by Odile Kirchner, interdepartmental delegate to SSE or Patricia Ahmadi vice-president of RTES (the French network of local authorities for the solidarity economy, member of RIPESS EU).
