The Universidad del Buen Vivir/Campaign for a Global Curriculum of the Social Solidarity Economy is at the origin of a project to collect educational practices that have an impact at the local level and thus transform the community. The idea is to prepare the activities to be proposed during the World Social Forum 2022 in Mexico City and the celebration of the first year of the Universidad del Buen Vivir.
To this end, a message has been sent to students, educators, teachers, trainers, professors, mainly in Latin America, the natural home of the University. An online dialogue circle and meetings were held in which participants could describe in detail their educational initiative, exchange and try to deepen the popular and community scientific dimension of the University.
Through an online form (in Spanish, Portuguese and English), the experiences were published :
– on a socioeco.org map: Educational Experiences for Buen Vivir transformative practices for another possible world
– in the Revista ES – Economia Social n°18 of January 2022, which includes 25 of these initiatives in Spanish and Portuguese.
From Catalonia to the Philippines, passing through Colombia, Argentina, Brazil or Mexico, the experiences touch on many and varied themes: global citizenship, solidarity tourism, agro-ecology, labour rights, indigenous movements, etc.
If you would like to contribute with a description of a transformative educational experience to enrich the mapping and thus prepare the WSF 2022, go to http://www.socioeco.org/expeduca_en.html, download the form and send it to Françoise Wautiez fwautiez@socioeco.org, with photos or documents that you think could illustrate the initiative.
