After having held its founding congress in Barcelona in September 2011, RIPESS Europe held its second congress in Lille on 5 and 6 July 2013.
Representatives from organizations of the European social and solidarity economy as well as political representatives from various countries have discussed key issues such as public policies to support the SSE and the future of the SSE in Europe in plenary sessions. Workshops have addressed topics such as responsible consumption, popular education based on the Paulo Freire model, the exchange of good practice in SSE, the state of the art of solidarity economy, employment and solidarity economy and also the perimeter of the identity of SSE.
The Congress gathered about a hundred of participants coming from 15 Countries, namely Germany, Catalonia, Spain, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland.
