Invitation letter by the Organizations Solidarity for all and the Solidarity Economy Cooperative “Syn Allois”

In June of 2014, members of “Solidarity For All” and the solidarity economy cooperative “Syn Allois” were invited and attended the annual meeting of RIPESS-Europe in Paris. An intense interest of the network members for the processes in Greece was manifest and culminated in the decision to organize the next meeting of the Coordinating Committee in Athens in September the 15th, aiming at the same time to meet and discuss with initiatives, collectives, networks and in general stakeholders of the whole spectrum of the SSE movement in Greece. In this framework, on Sunday, September 14th at 10.00 a.m. at @Rouf Cultural Space we organize a meeting of the coordinating committee of RIPESS-Europe with the above mentioned greek collectives and also informed individuals that follow the evolution of the SSE in Greece. There will be a presentation of the RIPESS-Europe network and of the state of the SSE movement in Europe, with its distinct approaches, and later, after a preliminary debate with the participants, we will process more specific issues in small working groups, using the “world café” method.

We hope that this will be a useful meeting for each individual collective, but also we wish it will function as a meeting space for SSE initiatives in Greece, where we will exchange our views and experiences and track possible convergences that could lead to a heightened spread and visibility of SSE as an alternative way of organizing economic and social life.
