By Reas, Red de Redes, Spain

From the 18th to the 22nd of October, REAS Red de Redes (Spain) co- organizes for the first time with the Feminist Network DAWN – Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (Argentina) and the OCARU – Observatory of Rural Change (Ecuador) a virtual edition of the School of Feminist and Solidarity Economy. The organisation of the School of Feminist and Solidarity Economy represents a further step in the incorporation of the feminist perspective in the Solidarity Economy, with a didactic and pedagogical objective for debating, developing critical content and knowledge based on real experience.

The School of Feminist and Solidarity Economy aims to the training of activists and members of solidarity economy organizations and entrepreneurships, feminist organizations, women, LGBT + groups, unions and agricultural organizations, interested in adding new tools and knowledge in understanding the functioning of the current socio-economic system and the existing alternatives.

The School is therefore a training space that aims to socialize analysis, tools and alternatives for the construction of critical perspectives on the interrelation between economic dynamics, gender / class / race / ethnic relations and the mechanisms of reproduction of inequality.

The School will be developed in 3 parts or modules and 5 sessions (synchronised and asynchronous) that will combine the immersion and understanding of theoretical concepts, their exemplification from concrete cases and the construction of dialogues between experiences based on feminist and solidarity economies around the management of finance, energy and agroecology. The online sessions will be complemented by reading materials, guides, and audiovisual resources that will be sent in advance to the students of the School.

The 4 synchronous online sessions will be at:

8am Mexico City / Quito

10am Buenos Aires / Brasilia / Montevideo / Santiago

3pm Barcelona / Madrid / Brussels.
