The YOU(th) CARE for CHANGE project aims to empower new generations to become “Global Guardians” of a sustainable future in the Euro-Mediterranean region. This project addresses the complexity of today’s global challenges from a social and ecological perspective based on the idea of Care. Among its main goals is to encourage the active participation of young people, helping them to develop and implement Global CARE Agendas to promote a fairer and more egalitarian society.
YOU(th) CARE is funded by the European Union through the DEAR program and counts on the collaboration of organizations in several countries, both inside and outside the EU, such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Serbia, Morocco, and others.
Duration of the project: December 2023- April 2027
Target
Aims to support the engagement of nearly 300 Youth groups who are interested in embracing, sharing and re-framing the CARE for people and the planet.
Our goals
The project focuses on several key areas such as youth as motor of change, gender equality with and intersectional view and ecological transition. In addition, it promotes the design of eco-sustainable tools and multidimensional approaches to address global issues, integrating a gender perspective to ensure equity and participation of women in these processes.
How
Based on the principles of intersectionality and interdependence, the GLOBAL CARE approach will be at the hearth of the implementation of the Project. Youth associations, groups and communities on the move will be involved in trainings, forums, intergenerational and intercultural exchanges on gender equity and global challenges and engaged in the co-development of actions and campaigns.
