Created in 1990, the Social Economy Intergroup was re-established in the new European Parliament, mainly by the initiative of Social Economy Europe. It consists of members of different parliamentary groups (80 members representing six groups in this case). This is not an organ of Parliament but discussions interface and reflection with actors of civil society. It holds regular meetings open to solidarity economy enterprises, focusing on themes relating mostly to the agenda of the EU institutions.
