On March 8, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., the webinar “Feminism and solidarity economy” will open the cycle of the International webinar series on solidarity economy organized by the scientific committee of RIPESS Europe, the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Foundation (FMSH) and the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES-UC).

The webinar will be in EnglishIsabelle Hillenkamp and Jean-Louis Laville will focus their intervention on three points:
1 / the need for a reflection on what the economy is, and on the relations between economy and society as they are convergently illuminated by feminist approaches and by those of the substantive school opened by Karl Polanyi.
2 / Emphasis will be placed on the reasons why it is important to take householding as an economic principle, and how taking it into account is both decisive and complex.
