Fira Economia Solidaria Catalunia 2017
Editorial: A more solid(ary) network
This October, the FESC (Fira of Economia Solidaria de Catalunya) fair and festival is going to be held in Barcelona and RIPESS Europe is concerned for more than one reason. The FESC is organized by a large number of Catalan organizations, including the XES, a founding member of RIPESS EU. This year, RIPESS Intercontinental  has chosen to hold its annual meeting with members of the various continental networks. But of course we are concerned with the worrying situation in Catalonia and the violent clashes between the peaceful demonstrators of independence and the massively disposed police forces to repress these demonstrations in favour of the referendum. From our position, we can not take a stance in this conflict except as militants for the right to the expression of citizens. As such, we express our solidarity to those who have seen this right flouted and eventually suffered the incredible violence of the forces of repression.

Webinar
Webinar: Public policies and SSE
RIPESS Europe and its members are actively investing in the co-construction of public policies at a local, national and European level, pursuing an objective of general interest and the development of the Social Solidarity Economy (SSE). Given the diversity of public policy frameworks in the territories and the different levels of consideration of the SSE in relation to the national framework, we propose an online working session on the theme "Policies public: the stakes of the social and solidarity economy". The objective is to facilitate our joint work, to share analyses, concepts and a common vocabulary. The webinar is organized around theoretical contributions and practical experiences, exchanges and testimonies between participants, in order to improve the participants' knowledge and to forge common references on public policy issues.

The first webinar will take place on NOVEMBER 2, 2017 - in 3 language sessions: Spanish, French, English.  REGISTER HERE to participate (free).
