The\u00a06th edition of the Global\u00a0Social Economy Forum<\/a>, GSEF2023 Dakar<\/strong>, will take place from 1-6 May\u00a02023 in Dakar (Senegal). This\u00a0event is co-organized by the City of Dakar and the Network of Actors and Local Authorities for Social and Solidarity Economy (RACTES), in partnership with the Ministry of Microfinance and Social and Solidarity Economy of Senegal.<\/p>\n

The Global\u00a0Social Economy Forum (GSEF) is one of the most prestigious and largest gatherings\u00a0on\u00a0social and solidarity economy (SSE) that brings together, every two years, all\u00a0stakeholders in the area of\u00a0SSE, from local and national governments to civil society organizations\u00a0and networks, international organizations, academia &\u00a0research institutions, as well as\u00a0private sector actors, with the objective to share practices, experiences, policies, and visions towards\u00a0building a more inclusive, equitable, solidarity-based\u00a0and human-centered world.<\/p>\n

Through this Call for Proposals, the GSEF2023 Dakar Forum intends to empower all the initiatives emerging from territories as well as\u00a0local actors around the world\u00a0to collectively build a path towards a less capitalist, more human-centered new model of development.<\/p>\n

THE THEMES OF THE GSEF2023 FORUM<\/h2>\n

The main theme,\u00a0Social and Solidarity Economy &\u00a0Territories: Transitioning\u00a0from Informal Economies\u00a0to Collective and Sustainable Economies for our\u00a0Territories<\/em>, will be explored through\u00a0seven themes and two special events on Youth and Women around which you are all invited to submit your proposals.<\/p>\n

  • Theme 1<\/strong>:\u00a0Co-constructing public policies for collective and sustainable economies conducive to\u00a0decent jobs for young people and women<\/li>\n
  • Theme 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Sustainable blue economy, preservation of artisanal fishing, creation of new sustainable jobs, and social &\u00a0environmental protection<\/li>\n
  • Theme 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Collective and sustainable ‘green’ economy for the territories, food self-sufficiency and its governance<\/li>\n
  • Theme 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Solidarity &\u00a0sustainable digital economy and smart territories<\/li>\n
  • Theme 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Financing collective and sustainable economies for the territories<\/li>\n
  • Theme 6:<\/strong>\u00a0Policy dialogue: National & local governments and key stakeholders of collective and sustainable economies for the territories<\/li>\n
  • Theme 7:<\/strong>\u00a0Social and Solidarity Economy and sustainable development:\u00a0links between practices and research<\/li>\n
  • Special Event<\/strong>: Pre-forum on Youth and SSE\u00a0–\u00a0Collective and Sustainable Entrepreneurship for the Territories: Solutions for the Inclusion of Youth from Here and Beyond!<\/li>\n
