The current historical moment is crucial: the dominant economic system shows its structural failures and shows serious difficulties to confront and sustain itself. In the face of this, we need tools that re-politicize education, that give back to the youth, and in general to the entire population, the ability to think critically and act collectively. <\/span><\/p>\n

The traditional educational model is no longer sufficient. In the society of spectacle and permanent distraction, to continue betting on passive learning is to continue reproducing the same system that we say we want to transform. <\/span>
\n<\/span>We need new forms of learning, more lively, cooperative, critical and transformative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning by playing: a political tool<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 5% of children and adolescents in Spain have been diagnosed with ADHD or attention deficit disorder, and about 3% of adults also suffer from it. In this context, the need for active and non-linear methodologies -such as learning through play- is more urgent than ever. <\/span>
\n<\/span>Educating is not only transmitting content: it is cultivating awareness and autonomy, it is building community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The board game is an intentional, participatory and safe space. It allows testing hypotheses, making collective decisions, making mistakes without fear and learning from experience. It is a form of integral education: it develops critical thinking, creativity, empathy, teamwork and political reflection. <\/span><\/p>\n

That is why <\/span>Change Makers<\/b> – <\/span>Change the economic system, change the world!<\/span><\/i><\/a>an educational game on Transformative Economies that puts at the center issues such as sustainability, agroecology, feminism and social and solidarity economy. A tool to question the current economic model and explore, collectively, fairer and more democratic alternatives. <\/span><\/p>\n

A collective project<\/strong><\/p>\n

Change Makers is an initiative promoted by Ideal\u00fadica, RIPESS Europe and Nexes Interculturals, three Barcelona-based organizations working for global justice, critical education and the Social and Solidarity Economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our goal: to publish and disseminate the game to bring the Transformative Economies to schools, educators, youth groups, social organizations and families or groups of friends interested in playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why we have launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Goteo platform.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Your support can make it possible: buying your game, sharing the campaign, spreading the word.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defending an emancipatory education also means defending other ways of learning. In times of democratic and climate crisis, educating by playing is a political strategy. <\/em><\/p>\n
