The sovereignty of a territory, of a society is, in fact, a set of sovereignties that we must build between all and that go far beyond the construction of a state. If natural resources, means of production, the media, social networks … are controlled by a few, the people can never be sovereign about the satisfaction of their needs and the care of the environment. These various sovereignties, which we defend – food, technology, energy, financial, sovereignty of our own bodies … – face us with an organizational challenge to make the whole society participate and be responsible for everything that affects it.
In this VII edition of the FESC, on 26, 27, 28 October 2018, we want to reflect on these challenges, give visibility to models that already work, discuss how to replicate them, how to scale them. Aware that the areas on which we want to be sovereigns exceed the limits of the one social and solidarity economy we will focus on 3 axes:
- SOVEREIGNTY IN THE MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES
- ECONOMIC SOVEREIGNTY
- RELATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY
