Alternatives Economiques, with the support of the City of Dijon, Dijon Métropole and the Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, is organizing a series of days on the theme of “The economy otherwise”, in Dijon.

Why the “Journées de l’économie autrement”?

Since their inception, the Days of the Economy Otherwise have aimed to highlight the contribution of the SSE, especially its most innovative forms, to the transformation of the economy and society.

Conceived by Philippe Frémeaux, the Journées de l’économie autrement were born from the meeting between the teams of the SCOP Alternatives Economiques, whose head office is in Quétigny, a town in the Dijon metropolitan area, and elected officials from this metropolitan area and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

They share the conviction that the SSE has a major role to play in the emergence of the new business model that we need to build, a model that is both sustainable, producing well-being for all and mobilizing the initiative of each. This will contribute to overcoming the fourfold economic, social, ecological and democratic crisis affecting our society.

Days for all citizens

Our wish is to give an account of the challenges our society is facing today and to bring together personalities who question the best way to respond to them. Food, regional development, health, employment, housing, education, mobility, energy, democracy, etc. The “Journées de l’économie autrement” deal with all the issues that our society is facing today.

This will be of interest to the general public as well as high school and university students, SSE actors, researchers and academics!

Days of meetings, exchanges and debates

We want to bring together academics, researchers, elected officials and field actors, to highlight the concrete initiatives developed by the actors of the Social Solidarity Economy, while questioning their ability to transform our economic and social model.

Nearly 40 events and 200 speakers

The Days will take place over two days, from Friday morning to Saturday evening.

Plenary sessions, round tables, conference-debates, workshops, all of these formats are designed to get people talking and sharing ideas.

Finally, on Friday evening, a dinner is organized by the Péniche Cancale team. A festive and friendly occasion to continue to discuss and meet the guests of the Days.
