SUMMARY:16th Citizens’ Energy Forum
DESCRIPTION:The 16th Citizens Energy Forum will be co-organised by the European Commission and the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority. \nThis year’s forum ‘Towards a Citizens Energy Package: Empowering citizens for a just energy transition’ takes place in the context of the next Commission mandate\, following the European elections earlier this year. It will kickstart work on the Commission’s Citizens Energy Package\, which will increase citizen participation in the energy transition and strengthen the social dimension of the Energy Union. \nIt will be live web-streamed with the possibility for the online audience to engage. The working language is English and interpretation is not guaranteed. We count on the representatives’ active participation in the Forum and their willingness to work with other national stakeholders to maintain momentum at national\, regional and local level.
