DESCRIPTION:The 13th Ripess Europe General Assembly 2024 will be held on 13-15 of June in Geneva\, Switzerland. This is the most important yearly meeting for the Solidarity Economy Europe Network since it is a unique opportunity to meet and inspire each other through structured and more convivial moments. This year the topics will revolve around a new shared-governance proposal scheme\, uptakes on decided priorities and projects\, ways to strengthen our contribution to the communities and societies\, advocacy procedures and policies with citizens’ decisive participation. \nThis year is also a festive time since our hosting member APRES-GE is celebrating its 20 years of Solidarity Economy activism and networking\, thus we will actively participate in our members’ celebration moments.

DESCRIPTION:Assemblies are the space for degrowthers\, activists\, practitioners\, researchers\, artists\, IDN members\, and allies to meet and exchange on how best to collaborate and spread degrowth ideas\, policies and practices. Importantly\, Assemblies are also a space to connect and share convivial experiences. \nThis year’s Assembly will take place just before the International ESEE-Degrowth Conference in Ponteverda\, and will focus on building on what was started in Zagreb – that is to say\, structuring actors and organisations of the degrowth movement in a more cohesive\, collaborative and coherent manner. There will\, of course\, be room for conversations\, debates and feedback on the direction\, structure\, and functioning that the IDN is taking\, as well as time for the movement to connect\, share\, laugh and strategise.

DESCRIPTION:The University of Vigo will be hosting the joint conference of the international degrowth research networks and the European Society for Ecological Economics in Pontevedra from 18 to 21 June 2024. \nThe conference consists of two main components: \n\n10th International Degrowth Conference: The International Degrowth Conference has been held since 2008 in various cities including Paris\, Barcelona\, Berlin\, Venice\, Leipzig\, Budapest\, Malmö\, Viena\, Manchester\, and The Hague. The upcoming 2023 edition will take place in Zagreb\, before coming to Pontevedra in 2024.\n\n\n15th Conference of the European Society for Ecological Economics: This conference is held biennially\, with the previous edition taking place in Pisa\, in 2022. The conference provides a forum for researchers to address the ecological\, social\, economic\, and political dimensions of sustainability.
